Does Deepscanner Notify the Person You Search?

No. Deepscanner never notifies the person you search. It doesn't email, text or message them, and they get no alert that your search happened. You enter a name, email or phone number, read the report in your own account, and that is the end of it.

  • Person notified: never
  • Where results show: only in your account
  • Search by: full name, email or phone number
  • Time: about 2 minutes for a report
  • Nothing found: your money back, request within 30 days

Does Deepscanner notify the person you search?

No. Searches are private, and nothing is ever sent to the person you look up. They can't see your name, your account or the fact that you searched. The report appears only to you.

This holds for every kind of search: name, email and phone number. It covers the free phone preview and the full report alike.

Can someone tell if you looked them up on a people search site?

Not through the site. A people search service reads records that already exist, and it has no reason or way to contact the person in them. People ask the same question about TruthFinder, BeenVerified and Spokeo every month, which shows how common the worry is.

What can alert a person is something you do outside the search. If you call, text or message them after you find their number, they will know you reached out. A lookup on its own leaves no trace on their side.

While it searches, Deepscanner shows which record types it is checking. None of this is shown to the person.

How does Deepscanner work?

  1. Enter one detail. A full name, an email address or a phone number.
  2. It scans. Deepscanner checks public records, social networks and web pages. The homepage says it draws on 500M+ records from 100+ sources.
  3. You read the report. A preview shows first, and the full report is ready in about 2 minutes.
  4. The other person hears nothing. No message goes out at any step.

Are people search sites anonymous?

The person you search stays out of it, but you are not invisible to the site. Deepscanner knows your account and your payment, because you are its customer. Payments go through Stripe, and your search history stays in your account.

Does a reverse phone lookup notify the person?

No. A reverse phone lookup checks the number against records and shows who it may belong to. The phone never rings and no text is sent. The free preview shows carrier, line type and location in about 60 seconds, without telling the number's owner.

The risk is what you do next. If you call back or text a number you only wanted to check, the owner sees you. Look first, then decide whether to make contact.

What does Deepscanner find without telling them?

What comes back depends on what is public about the person. A report can include:

  • Name, aliases, age and photos
  • Phone numbers and email addresses
  • Current and past addresses
  • Relatives and associates
  • Social and dating profiles and usernames
  • Employment, education and web mentions
  • Whether their email appears in known data breaches

The scanning screen also lists marriage and divorce records, professional licenses and court documents as record types it checks. Criminal records and a sex offender check are paid add-ons.

Check before you contact them. Free phone preview, no alert to the other person, money back if nothing is found.

How much does Deepscanner cost?

You can start with a free preview of a phone number. After that, Deepscanner uses a low-cost trial, and the exact price is shown before you pay. You can cancel in one click from your account, and if a search finds nothing the credit goes back to you. You can also ask for a full refund within 30 days.

Prices are in US dollars and don't include tax. For the full list of charges see every Deepscanner charge explained.
